Timber Frame Building Construction at Buster Ancient Farm

Traditional timber frame construction project completed within a live educational and visitor environment.

TJC Construction carried out a grant-funded timber frame new build project at Butser Ancient Farm, working within a live educational and visitor environment throughout the construction programme.

The project included the full groundworks package, construction of the timber frame superstructure, installation of a cedar shingle roof, metal guttering systems, and the fitting of all windows and doors to deliver the completed building for the site’s operational use.

TJC Construction also assisted in a principal contractor role during the installation of the internal green oak frame, coordinating works carefully within the specialist construction environment.

The completed project provided Butser Ancient Farm with a high-quality traditional-style building that complements the historic and educational nature of the site while delivering a durable and functional new facility.
